Our mission is to provide relief, support, and assistance to pediatric families by providing financial support, helping to educate, and bringing awareness to Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD) and rare diseases that affect children and their need for medical equipment. 

Lending a helping hand to families navigating the pediatric medical equipment world. 

Grayson’s Equipment Corral was developed as an extension of the Amazin’ Grayson Foundation. It is designed to be a local pediatric lending closet for durable medical equipment (DME). We understand the stress of figuring out which piece of equipment will work best for your child. We hope to have different pieces of equipment for you to try as you navigate the pediatric medical world.  

We also know how long it takes to finally get your own piece of equipment once you have decided on which one will work best. Therefore, our hope is to provide equipment that will work in the interim as you wait for your piece of equipment to come in.  

The Corral is donation-driven and is here to serve you and your kids’ needs with durable medical equipment. We take gently used equipment in from families that no longer have a need for it and find a new home for it with a family who does.

    The amount of equipment needed by a medically complex child is always so astounding, and yet insurance will only cover 1 to 2 pieces of equipment per year. We wanted to find a chair that would allow our daughter, Maggie, to sit at the table with us and enjoy a meal or do an activity. Our insurance would not cover this, stating that her wheelchair would be sufficient, although it did not fit under the table, nor was it at the right height for activities. Grayson’s Equipment Corral (GEC) stepped in to provide us with a high-low chair that allows Maggie to interact and sit at the table with our family during dinner. It also allows her to do activities in the living room with her brothers at their level. We are so grateful to GEC for providing this piece of equipment for us to use and make our home more accessible and accommodating for Maggie.

    I am very grateful that Grayson’s Equipment Corral was able to help Brady by loaning us a swing and a seat. He’s able to use the equipment to keep him as comfortable and active as possible. These are not things insurance would pay for and equipment like this is so expensive. Brady’s condition is progressive so we find he is always needing new equipment and the need tends to come up quickly. We were able to donate some things he can longer use and trade them for things he can use now. Thank you to Kristin and everyone who has made the Equipment Corral possible!
